Yes, you do need to have a Bluevine Business Checking account to be able to create and send invoices and/or payment links as well as use Tap to Pay through the Bluevine platform. You can apply for an account here for free in minutes.

Yes, you can create and send unlimited free invoices or payment links through your Bluevine dashboard. Depending on how a customer chooses to make their payment, Bluevine will deduct any associated payment processing fees. To accept card, digital wallet, or ACH direct debit payments, you’ll need to connect or sign up for a Stripe account.BVSUP-00180

You only pay processing fees when you accept payments with Stripe:

When a payment is processed through your linked Stripe account, it will incur a fee based on the payment type. Online payments via credit card, debit card, and digital wallet have a 2.9% + $0.60 fee, and ACH direct debit payments have a 1% fee. Invoices processed via standard ACH, cash, or other payment methods outside of Stripe are free. In person payments using Tap to Pay have a 2.7% + $0.30 fee. You will only ever be charged once by Bluevine for each payment transaction. Stripe will not double charge fees.

It is an alternative to standard ACH credit transfers, which are initiated by the sender and require you to provide your bank information. ACH direct debit is a faster and easier way to accept customer payments without needing to share your own bank details. ACH direct debit is often used to facilitate recurring payments, such as monthly subscriptions or utility bills, but can be used for one time payments as well.

Yes! You can enable payment processing in your Bluevine dashboard so customers can pay you via credit card and other payment methods from customers. Our payment links are powered by Stripe, a popular payment service provider (PSP) for small businesses.

With Bluevine, you can accept credit and debit cards, digital wallets, and ACH direct debit through payment links or Tap to Pay, in addition to standard ACH transfers, checks, and domestic and international wires.

Tap to Pay works by letting you accept contactless payments from cards and mobile wallets with just your phone through Bluevine app. Setup takes just minutes from your dashboard, and funds are deposited directly to your Bluevine Business Checking account.

Yes, you can send payment links to request payments from customers without sending an invoice. If you have payment processing enabled, a payment link will be automatically added to your invoice so your customers can pay via card, digital wallet, or ACH direct debit.
